A social enterprise is a business that has got a specific target group and serves its primary purpose. Social enterprises seek to maximize profits while maximizing benefits to the society and environment. For instance, in Bulgaria we discussed few enterprises about single mothers, disabled persons and recycling. The task of the enterprise about single mothers was to make the society more tolerant towards those women who get through many difficulties on their own and who are mothers and at the same time fathers to their kids.
We had to work on finding a way to make the society more concerned about the shortage of roads and rails for people with disabilities.
We also had to find a solution to the indiscriminate dumping of garbage into the environment. It was quite difficult but with the help of our mentors we manage to do it.
