Film production in Bulgaria for 2018

Statistical data for film production are received as a result of an annual survey*. The activity of film producers covers the following main characteristics: produced films, incl. videos, films for cinemas and for television. The main factors that make Bulgaria an attractive filmmaking destination are location and infrastructure (mountains, forests, barren landscapes, derelict buildings, seaside and ect.), low operational costs and more. Filmmaking statistics for 2018 30 full-length films: • Feauture films – 19 • Documentary films – 10 • Cartoon films – 1 47 short- and mediumlength films: • Feauture films – 13 • Documentary films – 28 • Cartoon films – 6 Film productions in total – 77
